At the $ prompt type HELP HELP

That should give you an explanation of how the HELP command works.

 From there, you can try HELP COPY, HELP DELETE, HELP MAIL, HELP EDIT 
etc, etc.  Virtually all the command are English verbs!  I believe that
a few languages other than English are supported but, as a monolingual
American, they are of no use to me! ;-)
