I can assure you that all 8 in mine fired.  Stock was 351 cu. in. 4bbl V-8
rated at 275hp.  Two guys in one of my dad's shops in Lancaster worked the
engine and built out the carb.  First stomp on the accelerator twisted the
drive shaft!  I miss that car.  I'd still have it if not for a runaway Audi
that plowed into it in the early '80s.  About 350K miles on it at that time
and she still ran like a champ.  Sadly, the ins. co. didn't find any value
in it and gave me nothing for it and, as a poor grad student at the time, I
had no money to sue for recovery.  I then purchased a red 1973 Mach I.  It
looked EXACTLY like the Mach I Sean Connery drove about in in Diamonds Are
Forever.  Admittedly though, I never drove mine on 2 wheels. :)
