They _all_ claim that.  Very few actually do.  Back when I used a
distributor, they got pissed one day and started challenging those
"vendors" to produce the books.  Challenge issued either through
Amazon (for those claiming new) and by placing orders for those
claiming used.  Want to know how many orders got filled?  0  The third
party vendors all disappeared for a while.  Now that I don't use a
distributor the Amazon scammers are coming back.

At one time there was some kind of "rule" (LMAOF) that sellers "had to
have the book in hand" before they could list it, so they all just
check that box then scramble to fill an order.  Most of them think
they will be able to order it new via Alibris and that I will blindly
fill the order.  What they don't understand is that I get to see order
destinations and have the option of refusing the order.  When multiple
members refuse your orders for the same reason, Alibris closes your
account.
