I've not seen these oosing tabs but then, I don't like tabbed browsing.

I have FF on my Linux laptop. When I am done at the end of the day, I
run a script that "srm -v"s the FF cache and thumbnails. That keeps my
FF running smooth and it keeps my browsing history private from those
prying eyes of those 4th Amendment violating CBP and ICE agents when I
travel. Not that I have anything to hide. It's just a way to play the
game with them. Only a fool would keep anything sensitive on a laptop
they were carrying about -- especially, on international travels.

FWIW, FF had an image cache bug that followed it through to FF8 before
it was addressed... or was it? No, they just made it so that you had
to have MORE images cached before it tossed up the bug. That's not a
fix in my book.
