No, you should have said Files-11 ODS-2 without the use of a rooted
logical.
ODS-2 is limited to 16 when a rooted logical is used, VAX, Alpha, or
Itanium. ODS-1 (VAX only) is even more limited. ODS-5 has no such
limit, although the ability of a VAX to access is is limited.
But yes, once upon a time would have been accurate.
