I'm not very worried about it.  My router will not pass any incoming 
packet that is not a response to something I sent.  You could hammer on 
it all day and accomplish little more than wasting electricity and 
bandwidth.

Every few months I look at my router's logs just for grins.  There are 
tens of thousands of attempts and zero successes!  I get eight or ten 
attempts per minute around the clock!
