You should, at a minimum, upgrade to V7.3-2 with the latest UPDATE kit.

Shadowing changed A LOT between V7.3-1 and V7.3-2 UPDATE 4 (I think) 
with the advent of Host-Based Minimerge.  Even if HBMM is not of 
interest, many other shadowing bugs were found/fixed during the HBMM 
work and it's a lot more stable.

Please provide the output (as in cut/paste of the screen) of

$ SHOW DEVICE/FULL DSAn:

as well as the actual mount command with resulting error messages.
