Dear regulars,
It has been a while now that I've tried to change this, but every time I
let it rest (as there were other, more pressing, issues). Yesterday I
gave it a try again, but didn't get far.
This concerns the BMC/EFI and the situation is, as follows: One rx2600
has a 'verbose' boot sequence, where it would actually prints all sorts
of diagnostics and information (like destructive memory testing).
Whereas another rx2600 is more 'suppressed' and only prints
initialization messages.
I have tried changing the "boottest" attributes, but that wouldn't
affect it. I also couldn't find any information about it on the
internet. Is this perhaps controlled by a jumper on the motherboard?
What I'm trying to achieve is to make the system with the 'suppressed'
output to become 'verbose,' like the other system. Especially because
of some recent problems I've had with that particular system (see my
previous thread), it would be more than convenient.
