Hi.
I'm using UltraEdit (UE) to access and edit file on my OpenVMS system.
UE V16.30 and :

HP TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Alpha Version V5.6 - ECO 5
on an AlphaStation XP900 466 MHz running OpenVMS V8.3

Now, after an upgrade to the latest UE (16.30) I have some
trouble accessing the files over FTP.

When trying to "open" a listed file in/from UE, I get output
like this in the UE FTP output window :

14:28:17: SIZE ADD_ITEM_2.COM;2
14:28:17: 257 "TRAD_ROOT:[000000.TRADSCHED]" is current directory.
14:28:17: MDTM ADD_ITEM_2.COM;2
14:28:17: 502 SIZE is unimplemented.
14:28:17: TYPE A
14:28:17: 502 MDTM is unimplemented.

And the "open" operation in UE is "aborted" due to the MDTM error.

Now, is this some limitation in TCPIP Services ?
Would it be worth the effort to try with, say, the MGFTP package ?
That is, does someone know if SIZE and MDTM are implemented in MGFTP ?

Note also that I have st the "server-type" in UE to "OpenVMS".
And yes, I have also asked about this on the UE user forum...
