I just tried it out, INIT/SHADOW/ERASE on two 2-GB disks. Took about 20
minutes. Then I built a shadow set with MOUNT/CONFIRM. It didn't ask
me to allow a copy (i.e. it realised the disks were in synch) and the
shadow set formed immediately, with no merge whatsoever.

Getting back to another thread, the value for maximum files on this
shadow set is 16711679, the same as on an 8.5-GB disk. Apparently this
is related to /LIMIT with no argument, but at least in HELP this doesn't
seem to be documented.

I'm pretty sure that the shadow set, as it is, couldn't take anywhere
near that many files. Perhaps if expanded to the 1-TB limit. I would
also like to know where this number comes from. It is APPROXIMATELY (a
little less than) 1/128 of a terabyte.
