   While all of those are good habit, especially for newbies, in this
   particular case I don't think the behaviour has changed from
   VAX-11/VMS 1.x for through to the latest patch released for Itanium.

   However, my memory of 1.x is sufficiently vague that I can't rule
   out a change at 2.0.
