Oh, there are still quite a few people using it, albeit for
hobbyist purposes only.
I still have three of them, actually four, counting the
new PPC-based SAM as an Amiga since it runs AmigaOS 4.1.
And there are new designs in the pipeline, e.g.
the X1000, using the low-power PPC Apple didn't want.
Or the Natami, a native 68K design which resumes
the classic tradition, but with current chip sets.
Kind of "what could have been if C= didn't die",
or, in DEC terms, "let's build a VAXstation 4000+ with USB
and modern gfx".
In fact the VMS community could learn a bit from the Amiga.
At least the lesson "how to survive once the parent company
has gone belly up" :-)
VMS (community) is now approximately at the stage the
Amiga was maybe 15 years ago.
