Ctrl-Alt-Delete, the gospel of PC.

Seeing "refurbished" and "PC" in the same sentence struck me as some-
what peculiar. Especially for such discardable, throw-away, type of
systems as PCs are.

I used to run an x86-64 (AMD64) dual-core Linux 'home server' several
years ago. Besides not being able to properly use things like a serial
console (BIOS and other quirks), the thing would totally budget and not
always boot up properly. It was almost a bet, whether it'd start up
normally after a reboot. It was very sporadic.

My current 'home server' is a VMS cluster consisting of rx2600s and
rx2620s with those "terrible" Itanium processors! I think I like
"terrible", especially when it runs VMS so nicely.
