I found the comments kind of humorous.  Lighten Up McGraw! ;)

Over the decades, I have met a great many of the denizens of this forum in
person; others, whom I have not, I have kept in touch with through private
emails and telephone.  Despite the nonsense that often dilutes the content
here, I have found that I have gotten to know the people and personalities
here moreso than the hatted pates of the HP/ITRC's trophymongers.
