If the PC has to actively telnet at all, it's easier to do what Jan-Erik
suggested, create a TNAx: by logging in and accessing it. No programming
necessary except some DCL.

Now you're getting silly. Besides, as I mentioned a few times I already
adapted a pseudoterminal program for another part of this system, and it
works fine and I am quite happy with it.
