   No, there are two IDE/ATA interfaces in a zx2000.  One
cable is labeled "optical", the other "hard".  VMS likes only
the one labeled "hard".  If your optical drive is connected to
the "optical" cable, then the firmware can get the boot
started, but VMS itself can't find the disc.  If your optical
drive is connected to the "hard" cable, then the firmware and
VMS can both find it.

   It's not a supported system, so there may be a few extra
quirks.
