Agreed on DS15s. I keep hoping to run across a cheap one for home
use, but it doesn't happen; they still have too much value to the
resellers and aftermarket. I hope that London site didn't just trash
theirs. We've got one customer with one that I'm keeping an eye on
since its no longer in production (just used for acccess to historical
data); if they surplus it I'm going to try and pounce on it.

I'd never manage long uptimes at home though; even now that I can't
get ECO kits anymore (so no patch reboots) we get at least one
powerfail every year or so that outlasts the UPS. Longest recent
uptime on the server DS10L (which was not getting ECOs applied during
that period) was around 380 days. Its at 124 days now after a winter
power outage, and will be going down in June so I can replace the
external drives with larger capacity but more power efficient and
quieter ones (those 2.5" Savvio's mentioned here a while ago).

Come on, someone here has to have an uptime to beat the customer VAX,
now at 992 days (besides Bill's antique BSD box that probably has
_real_ power backup available).
