My all mighty Microvax II went all the way up to 7.2, running TCPIP
Services.

You definitely need to tweak SYSGEN parameters because AUTOGEN won't do
it properly for you. But it worked fine. I could do Xwindows with a
remote display (no graphics card on the MVII)

I believe that 7.2 has better performance than 5.5-2, but my memory is
fuzzy.
