One winter we put a VS2000 on a wheeled office cart, rolled it to our
subcontractor next door, connected it to the network, and joined
the cluster in our building.
The move tested the physical reliability of the RD54, as the wheels
of the cart were not much larger than the gaps in the asphalt between
the buildings.
The network was T1, which was slower than anything DEC listed as
supported. Othre nodes in the cluster were VS2000 and MV II. We
did not change any of the cluster timing parameters.
The building-to-building connection was via laser.
It came to me that if it started snowing, we might loose quorum.
