Has this changed?  I recall a post from, IIRC, John Reagan which 
explained the rather complex nature of the (then) Fortran compiler for 
VMS, which did (then) involve Intel.

When were the Fortran standards after Fortran 95 published?  Which 
standards does the HP Fortran compiler on VMS support?  On ALPHA?  On 
Itanium?
