I've just installed freeSSHd on an XP system.

You /can/ switch logging on for freeSSHd, and there are various other 
settings available from the Windows side via a GUI.

Note that when you run freeSSHd the GUI illustrated doesn't launch. You 
have to access it via the tray icon.

I'd recommend you try it out on a test Windows system at first, so you 
don't muck up current settings on the server.
