Note that EDT has the too-many-lines problem only when actually 
processing more than 65535 at at time.  I just edited a PostScript file 
with many more lines than that (I inserted something near the top; with 
EDT I didn't have to wait for the whole file to be read) and $ DIFF 
shows only the additional line I put in.
