Except that Germany had to consent to stay in, otherwise reunification
would not have been allowed. Considering that this was probably
intended to keep Germany week (which didn't work at first, but might be
now), it would be frowned on, to say the least, were Germany to try to
get out of the Euro. (The majority of the population has ALWAYS been
opposed.) I don't know what would happen if we just did it. Would
someone declare a war?
