Some time in January or perhaps as late as February depending on
technical issues, Sears.com will be listing the entire "The Minimum
You Need to Know" book series.
No, I cannot take the credit for this. Sears and Alibris struck a
deal which is allowing Sears to be a portal listing all of Alibris'
content. From what I can understand of the announcement, Sears got
tired of the restricted inventory provided by one or more distributors
and is now on a push to shove Amazon.com off the Internet by listing
EVERYTHING.
While there still are a few authors stupid enough to take one of
Amazon's "publishing packages", Sears will have a much larger
inventory listed due to the fact Alibris sellers handle new, used, and
rare collector's titles. Today, Amazon only gets a subset of Alibris
vendors and that subset will continue to grow smaller given their
policies.
Right now when you go to Sears.com and search for "OpenVMS" you only
see a listing for Reflections. In a few months, you will see many
more OpenVMS titles there.
