Correct, that's what I said (or intended to say...

Well, my AlphaServer 1200 (currently 1 CPU) says:
KERNEL> sho license /unit
VMS/LMF Charge Information for node KERNEL
This is a AlphaServer 1200 5/533 4MB, hardware model type 1736
Type: A, Units Required: 25 (VAX/VMS Capacity or OpenVMS Unlimited
or Base)
[Type: B through G: * Not Permitted *]
Type: H, Units Required: 1050 (Alpha Layered Products)
Type: I, Units Required: 1050 (Layered Products)

A detailed rating table on http://licensing.hp.com said the same last
time I looked; unfortunately, HP removed all OpenVMS licensing info from
their licensing portal (except for a link to "OVMS PAKs" on the
licensing FAQ page, which leads to a "we're very sorry!" page :-(
(If you are interested, I saved a copy of this page locally already a
couple of years ago).
Best regards,
Hans.
