Apparently Microsoft have that kind of stuff in their showplace for
future technology, but aside from electronics enthusiasts, those
applications aren't very common.  I did enquire about such stuff in
1988 when putting a new heating system into my home, but to be honest I
had enough home renovation projects on my plate as it was, and they
took priority.
