[Info-vax] April 1, in hindsight

A few years ago, I did a April 1 joke with a fake press release from HP
which announced the outsourcing of VMS. I was told that it make a number
of high level people mighty unhappy.

Looking back, this was probably around the time that HO was actually
considering the outsourcing of VMS to their indian subsidiary which
would explain why HP got nervous about this joke which hit a it too
close for comfort.

Of course, there is nothing left to laugh about VMS now that the only
left is to await the formal announcement of its retirement along with
that of IA64.
