[Info-vax] VPM_SERVER on VAX disappears

Hello,

when I try to start @sys$startup:vmp$startup.com on a VAX running OpenVMS 7.3
I get:
   %RUN-S-PROC_ID, identification of created process is 23E000D0
   VPM_SERVER successfully started at  2-APR-2012 18:35:32.58

But as soon as I try a "sho proc/id=23E000D0" I see:
   %SYSTEM-W-NONEXPR, nonexistent process

I don't see a dump, I don't see the process in the accounting log. If I run
the procedure interactively without the /DETACH all is fine. Thus, why does
the VMI_SERVER disappear?
