And I haven't found any appropriate way to transform spec2000 or any other spec's numbers to VUPS Int and VUPS float. So how can I transform spec2000 to VUPS for ES40?- Tekst uit oorspronkelijk bericht niet weergeven -

There's no such thing as an exact VUPS rating for an Alpha. The V
stands for VAX so the rating is meant for VAX based systems.
And even then I wouldn't dare call those number exact because there
are too many differences in design for the various VAX models.
A VUPS rating gave you an idea what system you'd need when yet again a
new line up appeared in the Systems & Options catalog!
Early Alpha's also got a VUPS rating to show off their speed. The
fastest single processor VAX rated around 60 VUPS. VUPS ratings
for Alphas (being an entirely different design) are very rough
estimates in the first place and any number higher than, say, twice
that value
is absolutely meaningless. You do know what MIPS means, right?
