I am constantly amazed at improvements in computing power (hardware,
software, algorithms, etc.) which most people born after 1995 now take
for granted. Last month I attended a webinar where the instructor
demonstrated the following internet magic (some people here will
already know about this; apologies)

1) Navigate to www.google.com

2) Click on the word IMAGES in the menu banner

3) Now drag a GIF or JPEG from your desktop and drop it into the input
box

Google will analyze your graphic in a few seconds then locate similar
ones on the net. Fifteen years ago just the analysis phase would have
required several orders of magnitude more time.

Enjoy!
