Don't under estimate the capabilities of MySQL.
It is used by some of the biggest web sites like
Wikipedia, Facebook and Yahoo.
And the special Cluster Carrier Grade Edition is used
by several telcos including: Alcatel-Lucent, Italtel and Telenor.
