If SYSBOOT automatically sets WRITESYSPARAMS to 1 whenever you change a
parameter...

If you change WRITESYSPARSMS back to 0, wouldn't that cause SYSBOOT to
detect you've changed a parameter and set WRITESYSPARAMS back to 1 ?
