   Well, certainly not classy.  For much too long, I
stole or wrote (either way, _used_) code which didn't use
STS$K_xxx and STS$M_xxx properly.  One day, as I was reading
stsdef.h, I saw the light.  Since then, I've tried, but I
wouldn't bet that I've purged all the misuses from every
program I touch.  (Anyone who finds slop like this in code
under my control is welcome to complain, of course.)

   Sometimes it pays to read the manuals, and think about all
the code you write.  Stealing sloppy code can be quick and
easy, but you just can't trust all those morons out there.
(The one right here isn't perfect, either, of course.)
