The numbers are on the data sheet, but I forget them now.

I believe it is days in the sun, weeks under fluorescent lamps.

Yes, but for marginal bits they are sensitive to conditions,
especially Vcc. 

Programmed bit verification is done with Vcc=6V to be extra
sure. To be sure of erased bits, it should be done below 5V,
but I don't know that any do that.
