Volker,

Just looking at memory, there were a few parallel jobs at the time,
and memory was consumed, although XFC was still holding most.
Maybe we need to restrict XFC to below 50%

Also considering whether the dynamics of parallelism have changed with
the emulator.

The crashing process had that PHD.
