I hated it many years ago when IBM told my employer that I didn't need 
assembler to do my job but in retrospect they were right.  It turned out 
that my time was better spent listening to end user or customer 
requirements and translating those requirements into terms that the bits 
and bytes folks could understand.

You are not alone here.  If you go looking for themes for the CMS you are 
using you will quickly find that plenty that look good have horrible and 
unmaintainable code behind them and conversely plenty that have good 
maintainable code but look awful.
