Actually, those terrorists interpret those books in the way that suits
them even if it goes 180° against the original intents of the books.

The Koran has a clause that basically states that you shouldn't let
others prevent you from practicing the religion. So the terrorists use
that as justification for destroying other cultures who meddle into
middle eastern affairs. (aka: the west prevents them from practicing
their religion).

Come to think of it, it is not too different a "mistake" from those who
interpret the USA constitution as a right to carry/use arms for any
casual reason (such as threathening/killing your wife)  and totally
ignore the true original intent of the clause. (and one can fault the
original writers and subsequent politicians since for not being more
precise with that wording which is now commonly misinterpreted.
