On Slashdot a price of $1800 was mentioned.  That's roughly the same as a 
DLT IV drive 10 years ago.

At the time I went for a DAT drive for home because DLT IV tapes were
~$100 USD each.  If I had known I would get offered 20 of them for free a 
year later I would have gone for the DLT solution.
