Your subject line actually makes this look like a post by a spammer, and
as it involves VAX hardware it is actually on topic for this forum.

Someone should ask for proof that they have DEC order numbers and papers
that allow transferring the licenses from HP and Oracle to the new
owners. With out that, they can not claim that the software is licensed.

Unless they want to pay the court costs to see if they can get a similar
ruling in the U.S. as was ruled in Europe.

Also should ask for the exact model number of the VAXstation, and point
out that VAXstations may require a special monitor/keyboard/mouse cable,
which may be hard to obtain.

Also critical to know before purchasing is how much memory is in it.

Depending on that information, they may actually sell it, because there
are embedded VMS systems in process control, and the people maintaining
those systems generally try to replace those systems with identical
units, even when they could upgrade to newer hardware at a much lower
operational cost.
