The performance of the PBXGK-BB PowerStorm 4D10T ELSA GLoria Synergy
was low, and the early drivers didn't help. Text scroll was really bad.
For VAX, AFAIK, all of the graphics controllers used in later-series
VAX boxes were descendants of the GPX and SPX graphics.
By current standards, the "top-end" Radeon 7500 is glacial, but then
it's also a PCI widget. (Yes, the AGP variant reportedly sometimes
works in a couple of the OpenVMS boxes that feature AGP slots, but
AFAIK that is not supported.)
HP has a new graphics controller (an unspecified-model ATI FireMV) on
the roadmap for the rx2800, FWIW.
