Yes, these discussions started in earnest around Windows NT and 
Affinity and related, which would be the early to mid-1990s, and 
probably before.

So - and strictly for comparative purposes - what has happened to the 
OpenVMS business since the early to mid-1990s?  In the last decade or 
so?
