AFAIK, the CDA stuff was not sold off.

And yes, CDA was quite slick.  But it never saw particularly broad adoption.

There are two sets of CDA converters around.

One subset is available within and installed as part of DECwindows.

The other set of converters is available on the OpenVMS Freeware.

Rummage around for the RTF CDA converters for some details (that's the 
CDA converter that has probably been discussed most often over the 
years), and also see the CONVERT /DOCUMENT command.
