The only program I can remember that worked right away was something I 
wrote for math class in high school in FORTRAN for an IBM 1130.  I was 
all set to find out how I'd screwed it up, when it worked.  I screwed up 
screwing it up.

Of course, that was first written on coding forms, giving time to look 
for problems, but that still didn't preclude typos on the cards.
