I'd be quite surprised if you could find identical screws in your local
hardware store. Close, maybe but not identical!
DEC probably had them custom made, N pieces to fill their requirements
and a few extras.
If you want them to tool up to make 100 screws, the screws will probably
cost fifty dollars each! For another $50, you could probably get 5000
screws.
