Two obvious approaches. Use a VM-based solution, which means you can
roll in a fresh copy of Windows when necessary. (Something vaguely
similar is common with testing with VMS, where you roll in a fresh copy
from an InfoServer.) Or use a different operating system than Windows;
one that meets your requirements, and sans registry. Viable
alternatives do exist here, too. (Though most of the alternatives
would put you rather closer to Unix than you might be comfortable.)
