I was in need of a new laptop. My Toshiba Satellite -- not a bad laptop but
I'm on the third keyboard and it's showing signs of its age in other ways --
was a candidate for replacement and the HP Envy looked pretty nice. It had
what I wanted... large screen (17.3") and the numeric keypad. Then, there
was a coupon deal that made the Envy slighly cheaper than the other laptop
that was in contention at the time. I have no issues with the Envy; albeit,
the trackpad behaves skew-whiff most of the time. I was, as I'd explained,
only looking to add a drive so that I could make a backup of the current
Linux installation before I updated the current drive -- One of the other
features that swayed me to the Envy was the second drive bay. However, it
just seems that every time I try to buy a part from Hopelessly Pathetic
for any of their kit, it becomes a complete nightmare on Hanover Street.
Sears it's not!
