Sadly, he was out of stock months, if not years, ago.  (And yes, I
did contact him; actually, multiple times, over the last few years.)

That's a bit speculative, I think it was rather because he ran out
of stock.  Actually, to come to think of it, I don't think he ever
had the more recent (USB-based) keyboards.  I'd have to look up
my e-mail exchanges with him.
