'Tis Deathrow.  The Alpha there has had some disk failure.  The system
drive is still functional but it appears that most accounts were on the
drive which failed.  I knew soething was up when I was prompted for my
password when I ssh'ed to it.  My account and hostkey are on the drive
which has failed.
