The difference being that a reputable dealer will test the item and run
manufacturers diags, which takes time and $. Also, they mainly sell to
corporates, who will expect a warranty. If they want an item, they usually
need it today and are really not interested in the price, unless completely
off the wall. Even at $1500, it's still probably a fraction of the new dec
price and that's assuming dec can even supply it. I don't want to seem to be
defending dealers, but some are very good and it isn't a zero cost game...
