To add to what Joseph said...
If you are more familiar with a box which is a UNIX-derived box,
ANALYZE /DISK is conceptually similar to fsck or similar, and
[SYSLOST] is conceptually similar to the /lost+found directory.
If you are more familiar with a Window box, ANALYZE /DISK is
conceptually similar to chkdsk or scandisk or similar, and [SYSLOST]
is conceptually similar to (typically) the <drvletter>:\FOUND.000\ (or
similar) directory.
At some point you may wish to think about why files are appearing in
[SYSLOST]. This doesn't happen much on well managed systems with well
behaved applications, but depending on what files and applications are
involved, there may be well understood reasons for *some* files to
appear there.
